Netle is a new tool that helps you track and manage the calories you consume throughout the day. Not only does it provide calorie tracker functions, but also offers food diary features, nutritional info, cooking instructions, shopping lists, recipe searches, and meal plans.

The first feature I like is how the app tracks your meals. It creates a single list for each day in which all the meals are listed together, giving you quick access to see what you ate that day. This allows you to easily check off what you’ve eaten without having to search through multiple tabs or pages. I also really enjoy that this app has an optional food diary section where you can write down everything . These are foods you eat as well as any symptoms you experience. When I had trouble losing weight on my own, this was great because it allowed me to keep track of what foods made me feel good versus bad.
Two main sections for you to use:
“Nutrition Guide” and “Food Diary”. The Nutrition Guide gives you information about the food you’re eating by listing out the macronutrients. These are like fats, carbs, proteins, serving size, and percentage of daily intake. If you want more details, you can go into the Food Diary too and add notes about what ingredients were used, when you ate them, etc. Both these options give you great insight into the types of food you’re consuming, so you can make better choices going forward. A lot of times, people find themselves feeling guilty if they don’t measure their portions correctly. So having easy-to-use tools to understand what makes sense will be very helpful!
You can create up to 5 different plans, including one for vegetarians and vegans, one for gluten free diets, and even one for those who are just looking to lose weight. You can choose from 14 different meal options such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, beverages, salads, soups, sandwiches, meat, fish/seafood, vegetables, fruits, desserts, grains, protein shakes, and smoothies. Each plan includes descriptions of the items included, serving size, and calories per item. For example, if you select the breakfast menu, it tells you that eggs and bacon come in whole egg sizes
Food diary part lets you record your symptoms.
If you think you might have a problem, such as constipation, nausea, bloating, low energy, etc., you can mark those days in the calendar. These can help you identify patterns that can lead to your problems like certain foods or lack thereof. For example, some people report experiencing diarrhea after eating meat, while others notice stomach cramps after ingesting dairy products. Having the ability to track your symptoms will allow you to pinpoint what exactly is causing you pain and discomfort!

It helps me stay on track with my diet and exercise routine. We love that it keeps me motivated by keeping track of all of my workouts, plus the fact that it provides valuable feedback on my food intake means that I know I’m doing the best job possible at sticking to my nutritional plan.

There are four different categories: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. In each category, there are several different recipes you can choose from. You can select whether you want to view a photo of the dish or not, and the ingredients are listed right next to the photo. My biggest issue with other calorie counting apps is that they don’t have recipes available, especially ones that use healthier alternatives to traditional dishes. With Nettle, you get recipes ranging from pancakes to chocolate chip cookies! And you can even browse the entire menu by season.
